So, ABBA have reunited for two songs.
I remember them being inescapable from my youth.
I liked their singles well enough, but no album caught my ear, except for The Visitors, which seemed like a perfect collection to end on, as they delved into the vagaries of aging, breakups, and, in the title track, life in an oppressive regime, which seems even more relevant today and stands as one of their finest moments.
Given how much time has passed, I’m not expecting anything that would rival their past glories, but I am willing to be surprised.
Hard to believe it has been 35 years.
Time sure does fly.
